Prohibited Items Policy

To keep Meraki Hub safe, compliant, and high-quality, all sellers must follow this Prohibited Items Policy. Any listing that violates these rules will be removed, and repeated violations may lead to account suspension.

1. Illegal or Regulated Items

The following items are not allowed under Greek, EU, UK, or international law:

  • Weapons, firearms, ammunition
  • Knives designed for harm (switchblades, combat knives, etc.)
  • Explosives, fireworks, flammable or hazardous materials
  • Illegal drugs, narcotics, controlled substances
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Stolen or illegally obtained goods
  • Human remains or body parts

2. Counterfeit and Trademark-Violating Goods

Strictly prohibited:

  • Counterfeit or replica branded products
  • Unauthorized use of copyrighted images, logos, characters, or brand names
  • Items that imitate designer goods in a misleading way
  • Any product where authenticity cannot be proven upon request

3. Hazardous or Unsafe Products

Not allowed:

  • Toxic or dangerous chemicals
  • Items without required safety labeling
  • Products recalled by manufacturers
  • Homemade cosmetics without proper certification
  • Electrical items without CE/UL certifications

4. Adult or Explicit Content

Meraki Hub does not allow:

  • Pornographic or explicit material
  • Sex toys
  • Fetish accessories
  • Explicit artwork
  • Services of a sexual nature

5. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug-Related Products

Prohibited:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Tobacco or nicotine products
  • E-cigarettes and vaping liquids
  • Cannabis, CBD, or THC products
  • Herbal substances marketed as mood-altering

6. Restricted Food and Cosmetics

The following cannot be listed:

  • Edible items without proper licensing
  • Perishable food requiring refrigeration
  • Unsafe homemade skincare or cosmetics
  • Supplements with unverified or misleading health claims

7. Animals and Wildlife-Related Products

Not allowed:

  • Live animals
  • Animal parts from endangered species
  • Ivory, bones, or taxidermy of protected species

Handmade pet accessories (collars, clothing, beds) are permitted.

8. Services Not Allowed on Meraki Hub

Meraki Hub is currently a product-based marketplace. The following services are prohibited:

  • Digital services (consulting, design work, coding, etc.)
  • In-person services (cleaning, tutoring, repairs)
  • Rentals (homes, cars, equipment)

9. Sensitive or Offensive Items

Not allowed:

  • Items promoting hate groups
  • Violent or harmful content
  • Items encouraging self-harm
  • Weapons memorabilia intended for misuse

10. Medical Devices and Health-Related Claims

Not allowed:

  • Medical devices requiring approval or certification
  • Used health devices (e.g., glucose meters, blood pressure monitors)
  • Products claiming to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions

Seller Responsibility

By listing on Meraki Hub, all sellers agree to:

  • Follow this policy and all applicable laws
  • Provide accurate and honest product information
  • Ensure safe and compliant packaging
  • Remove restricted items immediately when notified

Non-compliance may result in listing removal or account suspension.
